A woman named Josie has recently passed away, leaving behind a storage room filled with decades of collected memories and cryptic secrets. Remnants of her entire life are all here in one place - left for you to discover.
As a young girl growing up in the 1960s, Josie was gifted a tape recorder and began documenting every part of her life. But in her old age, she has become almost unrecognizable, warped by the tragic events of her past.
The Nest is an intimate, live experience for two audience members at a time, combining elements of immersive theater, narrative video games, serialized podcasts, and escape rooms into a new way to experience a story.
Equipped with a flashlight, search through personal effects, explore your surroundings, and listen to audio cassettes to piece together the dramatic narrative of Josie's life.

FAQ
The Nest is a live, theatrical experience that combines elements of immersive theater, narrative video games, serialized podcasts, and escape rooms into a totally new way to experience a story. Since it's different than most forms of entertainment, we've run into a few common questions.
What is immersive theater?
In traditional theater, you're a passive observer, watching a story unfold on a stage in front of you. In immersive theater, you're in the middle of the story, and are free to explore the environment around you and make choices that affect the outcome of your experience. It's kind of like being a character in a movie or video game.
Will I be required to act or perform in front of others?
No. Your main goal is to explore your surroundings, not to act or perform.
Is this the same as the 2017 production of The Nest?
Not really. Think of this production more like a remake or a director's cut. We've improved many aspects of the show - the location, the set design, the story, and more - to create the version we always wanted to make!
Is this a scary experience?
We don't think so. There is no blood, axe murderers, or actors jumping out to scare you. However, the room is dark and mysterious, and you may have to navigate small spaces, be alone in unfamiliar spaces, and at times experience moments of complete darkness. The story itself is not scary, but involves adult themes such as suffering and the loss of a loved one.
Is this an escape room?
No. There are some simple puzzles but the end goal is not to escape a room. We suggest that guests take their time and soak up as much of story as possible.
Are there any live actors in the space?
No. Most story will be delivered via audio cassette narration.
How long is "The Nest"?
Including check-in, a short wait time, and the experience itself, plan to spend about 90 minutes at "The Nest".
